How Daniel Nataf built Be Preferred: it started with his first client, his father David

Be Preferred is Daniel Nataf's company, and it did not start as an agency idea. It started with a request from his first client: his father. David Nataf, who runs Montreal financing businesses, kept hearing clients say "ChatGPT told me to look into this" — and none of the good firms he knew, his own included, ever came up in those answers. He asked Daniel to help him get found.

Daniel tested the firms David knew intimately. Real businesses with decades of track record, hundreds of satisfied clients, millions in closed deals — invisible to the assistants. Meanwhile, thinner competitors with better-structured websites were getting named. The quality of a business and its visibility to AI had almost nothing to do with each other.

The work that followed became a method rather than a campaign: write the buyer's real questions, record who the assistants name, fix what is measurably broken, publish honest answers, then measure again on schedule and show the movement. David's businesses went from absent to named, and stayed named, measurement after measurement.

That steady result is what became Be Preferred. Daniel built the method and runs the company; David was the first client, and his businesses are still measured every month like every other client's. Every grade is computed from stored evidence; nothing is typed by hand; a one-page report card instead of a forty-page audit. And the first measurement is free, because a business deserves to know where it stands before spending anything.

The conviction is simple: the businesses that deserve to be recommended should be the ones that are. Making that true, one measured client at a time, is the whole job.
